Box and Garrick instantly formed a songwriting partnership and, having higher musical aspirations than their colleagues, decided to give up their day jobs and go professional. When the band's singer left, drummer Roger Penlington suggested his cousin David Garrick (who knew the band) as a replacement. Kerslake joined as the drummer in 1971 and originally stayed until 1979. Hensley was later a member of Blackfoot and appeared with W.A.S.P. He eventually became the band’s main songwriter, including the band’s iconic hit Easy Livin’, and stayed with the them until September 1980. When the band wanted to add keyboards to their sound in 1969, they brought in Hensley who had been a member of the band Toe Fat. Uriah Heep started in 1967 as The Stalkers and, later, Spice. Keyboard and guitar player Ken Hensley and drummer Lee Kerslake will join current members Mick Box, Bernie Shaw, Phil Lanzon, Davey Rimmer and Russell Gilbrook for the one-off show, playing with the band throughout their two-hour set. Two long-time members of Uriah Heep will return to the band for a special October 15 show at the Moscow Circus.
